Sterling Forest State Park is a huge area of natural pristine wilderness that offers abundant outdoor recreational opportunity just a short distance from the populated metropolis of New York City. With over 21,000 acres and miles of trails, hiking options are endless. This loop hike follows the Sterling Valley and Sterling Ridge trails to complete a loop down to to Sterling Lake and back. The are multiple connecting trails that take off in all directions providing the option of exploring more area in the park.
